Spring the snow begins to melt at Dovrefjell. The mountains come alive with a burst of vibrant colors. The trees and flowers start to bloom and wildlife returns. The air is fresh and crisp, and you can hear the sound of rushing streams and singing birds.

The sound of birdsong fills the valleys. Its the season for new beginnings where you can witness nature coming back to life after the long winter.

All of May its not allowed to guide on musk oxen. Except from marked trails. The females are giving birth to the new generation and need to be left in peace and quiet. The calves need to get strong before entering the tundra. The grown up animals has lots 30-40% of their bodyweight during the Arctic winter, so they need to eat and relax as much as possible.

From end of May we offer spring guiding at Dovrefjell and the surrounding areas.

In June we do musk ox tours on request. But most of the spring we let them in peace. So that they can eat well and get their strength back after the long winter.
